On the 30th of January 2025, our partners, Hellenic Rescue Team of Attica (HRTA), was invited as a keynote speaker at an event hosted by SciFY – Science For You in Athens, focusing on: “Technology & Natural Disasters #2 | The Role of Innovation and AI”
Anastasia Andriopoulou, Dr. Harris Georgiou and Alexis Vlachopoulos shared insights on:
- Types of disasters and their varying response requirements
- Emerging technologies transforming Search & Rescue (SAR) operations in mass disasters
- How these technologies can be used effectively to assist first responders operating in real crisis conditions.
Additionally, 6G-VERSUS was presented, highlighting its scope and vision. HRTA plays a key role as the end user in the Greek Pilot, focusing on “Collaborative robotics for early wildfire detection.”
