On the 26th of November, the 27th InfoCom World Conference, entitled “AI-Volution: A Brave New World!”, took place in Athens, Greece, once again bringing together key stakeholders from the ICT and research ecosystem.
Within this context, and during the Science Section organized by the OTE partner, the research-oriented workshop “Facing AI Challenges and Opportunities in the Beyond 5G / 6G Era: New Perspectives in European R&D” was held. During the workshop, Dimitris Salmatanis (OTE) delivered a presentation based on the Greek Pilot of the 6G-VERSUS project, entitled “Network-Native Early Wildfire Detection AI in 6G-VERSUS”.
In parallel, the project was showcased in the EU Projects Area, where visitors had the opportunity to learn more and engage in discussions with Fofy Setaki (OTE Group), Dr. Harilaos Koumaras, (FRONT Research Group | NCSR “DEMOKRITOS”), and George Makropoulos (FRONT Research Group | NCSR “DEMOKRITOS”).
