The 6G-VERSUS project was present at Mobile World Congress 2026 (2nd-5th March) in Barcelona for the second consecutive year, engaging with around 50 visitors who stopped by the ONE SOURCE booth to discuss the project and its vision for future 6G ecosystems.
The main focus was on the ONE SOURCE Mobitrust demo, and it attracted significant interest. It proved especially effective in capturing visitors’ attention and providing a tangible demonstration of the work for the Portuguese Pilot.
The booth also showcased six brand-new videos showcasing the 6 Pilots of the project and informational leaflets, offering visitors multiple ways to explore the project.
Discussions focused on the work 6G-VERSUS is carrying out and the potential impact of its use cases on the adoption of 6G technologies, highlighting how experimentation and real-world validation can accelerate the transition toward next-generation connectivity.
We were honored to welcome Pavlos Fournogerakis, Deputy Head of Programmes, who visited the booth and engaged with the team.
During the event, we:
- Pre-announced the 6G-VERSUS Venture Accelerator Program with a dedicated leaflet.
- Presented six pilot videos, highlighting the project’s trial environments and use cases.
- Introduced the Value-Driven Sustainability and Impact Assessment leaflet, presenting the framework for sustainability impact evaluation.
At the ONE SOURCE stand, 6G-VERSUS was showcased alongside other innovative EU initiatives, including 6G-PATH and ForestSphere, demonstrating the strength of Europe’s collaborative ecosystem in advancing next-generation 6G research and real-world experimentation. Participation at MWC 2026 provided an excellent opportunity to connect with the global telecom community, share our progress, and demonstrate how 6G-VERSUS contributes to shaping the future of 6G for Sustainability in Europe.
